Product Description

Different with closed die forging, hot upset forging is another forging technique for some bars and shafts need to be hot forged and shaped at one side or two sides. This manufacturing process is used extensively in the production of fasteners, to form bolt heads, screw heads, etc.
 

In general, this forging technique will be saving much of raw materials and machining times compare with the closed die forging and open die forging technique only. For example, we had one kind of product, named flange shaft, we use the hot upset forging technique, we only need around 300kg raw materials, but if this kind of part use the free die forging, we need more than 500kg raw materials and with much more machining steps.

We can hot upset forged the bars and shafts in materials not only carbon steels and alloy steels, but also kinds of stainless steels, duplex stainless steels, etc.

The hot upset forging from us with CNC machined, or pre-machined at least.
